I'm looking to buy a laptop as soon as my tax refund comes in (along with the new TV to be used as a monitor).
I want a laptop that will, at least, decently (don't need high quality graphics or ultra super quality anything) play both DDO and STO. Those are the two games I want to put on it that require more than the barest laptop specs.
I'm looking at getting an Acer Aspire. What is the bare minimum laptop to play either of these games? I'm sure DDO won't require as high a system as STO, so please list the minimums for each. If I have to, I'll forego putting STO on the laptop.
I'm familiar enough with desktop systems and requirements, but switching over to the less familiar laptop systems is difficult. I'm trying to keep the price down as I'm planning on taking another trip at the end of March and I want to take the laptop, with games, with me so I can use it at night.
If the minimum requirements are low enough and the prices just above the minimum are low enough, then I'll probably get a slightly higher level model of laptop. But I at least need to know what the minimum is.
I've tried researching, but I just can't switch my mind to laptop systems and their components (video card (I understand that "dedicated" is better than "intergrated") and processor being the most difficult to translate).
Thanks in advance.
