To be perfectly honest, I was lured into ECA via the slickdeals website and the free membership offer + amazon discounts. For all intents and purposes, all I wanted was to save a couple $$$ as I have virtually 0 income, poor, and in college.
While my motivation for joining isn't exactly pure, I noticed that the ECA was a non-profit organization all about for supporting the gaming community. It allowed me to see first-hand the efforts this organization goes through in a community that is relatively cheap (in a sense that majority of gamers are young adults!)
I can imagine all the whining and downright insults over the Amazon incident, early adopters (complaining about GIMAG), and general disapproval to an organization that tries so hard for little or no return.
Bottom line? Thank you!
P.S. any Tekken fans? I pre-ordered Tekken 6 (w/o ECA discounts ;_; ) so add my PSN (imlinked) and we can have some games going once the thing is released on the 27th. See you all then!
