So I'm a student in high school and relatively certain I want to get into the game industry. Well, I'm looking for some advice on education for said industry.
Currently a sophomore, so I have two more years to get ready for college. I'm in a Math & Science track, and may finish writing a novel I started, for self pleasure of course.
So, what I'm looking for is this: What major would be good for what I want? What I want is a position that doesn't involve too much coding, but can have anywhere between a small amount to a relatively significant amount of it. I've done some, and don't love it, but it's something I would still do. My mind focuses more around concepts and perhaps plot, not as much of how I'd get those things to work. I know, or at least have heard, that Game Design is not exactly the best major because of how specific it is, but I could be convinced towards it. Also, I'm really interested in politics, so would a Political Science minor help at all?
Also, what classes would you recommend I take during my junior and senior high school years?
