Just read the article about people who bought halo odst will most likely purchase call of duty 4.2, assassin’s creed 2, left for dead 2 and other shooter games that are highly advertised. Why do we, “Game Consumers” buy the most advertized games that are out there? Yea call of duty is a fun, exciting and great graphics; but it seems very redundant to me. First person shooters have been around forever and I’m just tired of doing the same thing. I will probably buy Flash point Dragon Rising and not COD 4.2 because it is not getting the hype from the media and it is taking a different approach in a first person shooter multiplayer. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of you have not heard of this game. Our games are turning into fast food restaurants, Halo, call of duty, madden, are big name games that rule the playing field and yea when they first came out they where great, but I feel like the quality of the games now are very mediocre and we are just buying games for the name. please correct me if i am wrong. (Im glad I got that off my chest, that felt good.):)
