is there such a thing? i am a highly skilled gamer not interested in programming. i have obtained top scores on many boards and many games, as well i have won many local video game competitions. i held 2nd place in the world on warhawk (ps3 launch title) for over a year. i obtained 17 in ninja gaiden sigma mission mode. the point is im very good at manipulating the game. generally when playing a game the first question i ask myself is, "ok, what will the game not allow me to do"? and secondly, "how far can i push the game"? i find ways to lock games up, and generally figure out how to abuse a bug i have stumbled upon. i have an abstract creative mind that forces me to play games different from most others. it basically boils down to the choices chosen, and the skill to manipulate inside the game. it is very easy for me to lock my mind into a game, and essentially become one with it. (i can play a game and tell someone how to make it better, in the end does this all come back to me having to become a programmer?)
with all that lame cheese aside, wtf can i do living in Louisville, Ky, with no schooling. there are no game testing job in such a small place, there is however a EA distribution in Elizabethtown and i heard that they test some games before shipping them out. that is my only lead, and i followed it to no where.
