I rented Fuel, the open world racing game just out of curiosity, it's possibly the most retarded game I've played this year, and I don't use that term lightly.
Briefly, Codemasters have created a visually stunning and flawlessly streaming open world than, possibly the best one I've yet seen and attached to it the most frustrating and pointless arcade racing game, possibly of all time.
Glaring issue #1. Why have three difficulty levels when the reward, (in this case fuel) for completing each level is exactly the same?
Secondly there's no prize for coming second or third, you either win or lose. Third why have a clothing customisation option when you can only really see the player character when riding motorcycles?
Add to that a pointless set of collectibles and challenges, obvious and unnecessary pickups and Codemasters trademark weird, floaty vehicle physics and you have a game that just screams MEH!
Having said that the environments are truly awesome, driving into an electrical storm has been the highlight so far.
If they manage to make Operation Flashpoint 2 run this well on the 360 it might be worth picking up.
