Last night My brother, friend, girlfriend and I were all on our 360s playing Halo 3 in a Social CTF game, the game was slow to start on our side but the score ended up being 3-2 with the opposite team winning. And just as what I have come to expect on XBL games our teammate begings to yell and scream at all of us for being "****ing Faggot Noobs" before leaving the lobby. In a matter of minuets all four of us were bombarded with text messages telling us to commit suicide amongst other things. When I tried to respond back in a civil manner he decided to leave me a voice message calling me a "N***er, two year old on my daddy's xbox." and how he didn't need to be mature because I suck at this game and need to kill myself because of it.

Now I could have responded but my brother pointed out that no matter how civil I made my message the guy on the other side would just blow up even more. So we each opened up complaint tickets filing things for inappropriate language, and hate speech in both text and voice messages. Now will this do anything? Or will the admins just overlook the reports and let this guy get buy with a slap on the wrist.

On a side note I found it funny that he tried to lower my rep thinking it would upset me. I have always found the rep system to be quite flawed. Sadly most people see it as a term of revenge for those who beat them online or who they blame for their loss, instead of using it for it's intended purpose.
