Comcast is trying to shape bandwidth again

All ISPs have to do is claim things in their terms of service or contract and shaping is something they can easily do as a normal business practice, but treating the consumer like mindless sheeple is never a good thing, below are some musing on how I see the problem and a good middle ground for them to take.. oh ya.. metered rates are pants on the head fcktarded….
I started to form the opinion that they need better plans under 400KBPS is 10-30, 400-800KBPS is 30-50, and 50+ for 800KBPS+ plans but this does not deal well with their current mindset.
With the mindset shaping is the core of network control what is needed is better plan rates, everything should be set around 3 levels of service a cheaper slower 1.5Mbit(150-200KBPS) dialup replacement for under 20$ that’s heavily shaped because dialup users won’t care and be happy for something that’s not dialup but in the dialup price range, The next tier will focused on constant data rates around half of what’s advertised with the network shaping factored in of course, this leaves the top tier starting about 60-70$ that offers constant data rates of at a guaranteed minuim of 25-30% of the max speed(why lower than because networks are imperfect).
In my opinion keeping mindlessly to the middle trying to get the fastest you can sell to the most people with a solid profit margin is missing the profit you can get from dialup users alone, not to mention what they could get from net geeks offering stable data rates, I am not alone in willing to pay a extra 10-40$ to get faster more constant data rates in internet service.
