So, here's what I did yesterday. I wanted the GOTY edition of Oblivion, y'know to get the expansions, but to download it from XBL was like $50 and a new disc copy was $100.
Lo and behold in my local Cash Converters (lousy pawn broking, loan sharking swine that they are) there appears a copy at $29, so I bought it,loaded the extra content onto my 360, took it back to the shop and told them that the disc wouldn't play and that I wanted to exchange it for something else.
Anyhow the something else turned out to be Marvel:Ultimate Alliance, due to their crummy selection of games. Its a while since I've played an Iso' RPG and this one is refreshingly...I was going to say good but I'll put "traditional". Its pretty fun, easy to play, there's a ton to unlock, different modes plus co- op and Live. I really like the huge range of characters, think of a Marvel character and they're there in some capacity, the different attributes and modifiers attached to the various character skins are neat. There's hours and hours to be spent just on the, not too heavy, not to light RPG elements, it seems simple but you really have to balance your four hero team, I mean theres always a way to complete the missions but sometimes you need, for example Thor's strength or Elektra's speed, so there's a bit to think about. There's time attack missions based on individual characters, which are fun and the usual slew of movies, artwork and other easter eggs littered about. Its a veritable treasure trove for collectors and completionists, getting to 100% completion would take a while. However my kids laughed at me because to them playing Spiderman is something eight year olds do.:o
