Does anybody know if it is possible to replace just a broken hard drive inside of an Xbox 360 HDD shell? I am getting an E67 message with a HDD I bought and want to explore the option of replacing (or upgrading) the SATA drive inside the shell before I spring for a new official, and expensive, hard drive.
I think I have read somewhere that it is possible to do this, but now that I need it, I haven't been able to find any real information on the Web. It is also absolutely necessary that this not be detectable by Microsoft - I do not want to risk having the machine banned from Xbox Live for any reason.
Any help and/or hints and/or links would be very much appreciated. :D
