It's really funny how difficult it's becoming to remember things that have happened in the past eight years under the reign of this sociopath and his cabinet of greedy old men. I feel like it's almost intentional. They do this to ensure their safety. On a scale that these men are operating at, the only way to succeed is to **** subtlety and just do every psychotic thing you can think of while maintaining a total disregard for what anyone else might think.

The Bush administration has been responsible for some of the most psychotic things this country has ever seen. My best friend's father remarked very wisely, "I lived through Nixon! Nixon wasn't nearly as bad as this guy, and they [I]fired[/I] his ass!" [B]Ignoring the argument over whether or not Nixon was a worse president than George W. Bush[/B] (and I can't stress that enough), Bush has done some very terrible things. He's a criminal. I can't think of any legitimate argument for why he and his entire administration shouldn't be convicted of serious crimes against America, against humanity, and probably half a million other things.

Their system is beautiful though, and almost artistic. You see one terrible thing, and then a few weeks later something ELSE horrible happens, and then they do something horrible in the WAKE of that other horrible thing, which then becomes more horrible than the original incident. Then you just do something else really crazy and no one even remembers the first two crazy things you did.

Repeat that formula for about eight years and eventually he's not going to be remembered for any one single thing. He'll just disappear and no one will do anything to try him or his administration for their crimes. When was the last time you heard anything from Donald Rumsfeld since he took a hike? Will he ever be tried for murder on numerous counts? No. Should he? Of course!

These men betrayed this country in more ways than I ever knew possible, and NO ONE is going to hold them accountable, and none of them will ever take responsibility for their actions. It just gets worse and worse with every passing second until we're just so sick of hearing it that we stop paying attention and then something [I][B]truly awful[/B][/I] will happen and we'll sit around scratching our heads wondering, "How did we let that happen?"

That's what frightens me.
