I just got some junkmail today that realy scared me on how powerful Google is, but before I talk about that, I will state what I already know of the multi-billion dollar company.

*Google has a permanant archive of every single search done on it's server from 1999 to this very nano-second.
[SIZE=2]-they can connect every search to the IP address of the computer that did the search
-they can conect every IP address that ever existed to the person who bought that computer
-they can connect every search to find what ISP the user has[/SIZE]

*Google is the only search engine company (to my knowledge) that has made significant opposition to any and all legislation that regulates search engines.
[SIZE=2]-methods include multi-million dollar lawsuits and under-the-desk bribes
-some federal laws that regulate the authoroty of search engines specificaly exclude Google in writing[/SIZE]

*Google has further pushed with its 'maps' and 'earth' technology to controversial extents.
[SIZE=2]-their satelite images clearly depict a top down view of the entire planet
-they have archives of images taken from street security cameras[/SIZE]

And today I got some junk mail that proves that their stored info of searches isn't just for the fun of it. I got something asking me to upgrade to Satelite internet and the adress notifies this house as a 'Dial Up User At (address)'.

Basicaly, Google is definately a top contender for 'Big Brother'. Right ahead of the potential alliance of the FCC, MPAA, and the RIAA. I know I have a slight history here allready here for conspiracy, but what do you think of the subject?
