As the discussion started in another thread, I'm going to attempt to install Ubuntu on my currently decommissioned Windows box.
Now, here's the question.
BetaSword recommended Ubuntu Studio, which is a very multimedia-oriented installation of Ubuntu. It's based on 7.04 so it's got the 2.6 Kernel and all that.
Here's the catch.
I have a 64 bit processor. I have YET to take advantage of that fact. Windows was running 32 bit because XP64 sucked so I dared not touch it.
Ubuntu studio does NOT come in a 64 bit version.
Is it worth it to get the 64 bit edition of Ubuntu standard or is there not enough software to justify it and I should just stick with Ubuntu Studio?
