Some small facts about the former project:
* It was completely open source for anyone to see that proprietary code was not used.
* It lasted for 2 years without any corporate intervention.
* No "warez" or other illegal software was distributed on this site.
* It was not for profit.
* All project code was built from scratch.
It is sad how mere accusations can scare people out of 2 years of work. And to put those accusations to the test would require funds that none of us here are ready to part with.

SO I sent NChash a letter
You make money off COH then run it into the ground with needless "updates" and then make another version of it(COV) and make more money while tacking COH onto it hoping people will play it ever think you make more money by letting people mod it a bit and run it on their own severs,a modable sever kit could retail for 80 a pop,or better yet if piracy frightens you so why not offer a premium account(25-30 a month 2 character max) where people and turn back the clock on your crappy updates or change some stats and make the game I dunno FUN.....
You mindless publishers are so busy cashing in on a brand or whining about menial issues have made gaming as shallow as hollwood and twice as blind, if you don't want pirates "stealing" your games come up with better ones or better pricing schemes to give people a better choice of what to pick because sometimes boycotting and piracy is better than letting the industry devoid and linger in shallowness.
Lastly the assault on USED PC games has made me totally boycott Game stop and EB that combined with the "no return" rule has broken this camels back the industry is protecting itself and using retail as its shield and life support if retail did not buy 80% of manufacturers stock without question the industry would be a bit more concerned as to what the CONSUMER( IE the BUYER/Money spender has to say)
I no longer buy retail, why buy a crappy 60$ game when you can get it on ebay for half the price a couple months later,since the industry is doubly protected from "bad games" they do not have to invent new ways to sale their products all they have to do is poo out something and hope the suits ok the next failed project, this sheeple has seen the light show me quality I will show you my money linger and the shallows selling fools gold as real and I will do everything in my power to see that company fail.
