Equipment
Look for these mods on rare items

Mandatory Uniques
Void Battery
- We are stacking power charges for this build. That's why two Void Batteries are mandatory. Each one grants 40% spell damage, 20% cast speed, 65% increased critical strike chance, +1 to maximum power charges, and 25% increased spell damage per power charge.
Badge of the Brotherhood
- It is mandatory because, in this build, we will end up with at least nine power charges. This amulet grants:" Your maximum frenzy charges is equal to your maximum power charges."
Mandatory Armour

- Some Life
- At least 100 Energy Shield
- Chance to gain a frenzy charge on hit
- Maximum Life as extra maximum Energy Shield
Notes
- Having a big number of maximum frenzy charges is worth nothing without a way to generate them. That's why an armour like this is mandatory.
- You can craft the "Maximum Life as extra Energy Shield" yourself. You just need a good body armour with the remaining mods and a free Affix.
Rare Helmet

- Must be a Blizzard Crown
- Some Life
Notes
- You need to get a Blizzard Crown for this build because of the extra damage.
- If you have more PoE Currency, grab one that also reduces nearby enemies' cold resistance.
- If you are really swimming on those Exalted Orbs, you can get one that also grants +1 power charge.

Gameplay Gear
Gems
Armour:
Winter Orb – Infused Channeling – Greater Multiple Projectiles – Inspiration – Power Charge on Critical – Controlled Destruction
- Start forming a 4L with Infused Channeling, Greater Multiple Projectiles, and Inspiration.
- When you get an armour with 5 or 6L, you can add Power Charge on Critical and Controlled Destruction.
Helmet:
Hatred – Herald of Ice – Zealotry – Enlighten
- Hatred grants more Cold damage.
- Zealotry grants more Spell damage.
- Herald of Ice grants Added Cold damage and Explode enemies.
Gloves:
Hydrosphere – Efficacy – Increased Area of Effect – Inspiration
- Hydrosphere helps a lot with your clear speed and brings more DPS on boss fights.
Boots:
Arcanist Brand – Frostbite – Frost bomb – Sniper's Mark
- This Brand is for bosses. It will keep cursing them with Frostbite and Sniper's Mark for a lot more damage. And it will also cast a Frost bomb that reduces their cold resistance by 15%.
Dagger:
Vaal Righteous Fire – Vaal Grace – Increased Duration
- Vaal Grace grants a temporary chance to avoid damage. You can use it on bosses.
- Vaal Righteous Fire grants more than 19% spell damage for some seconds, and it is great for bosses.
Wand:
Frost Shield – Flame Dash – Arcane Surge
- Frost Shield grants a shield with up to 3640 Life that takes up to 60% of the damage for you.
- Flame Dash is a great movement skill.
Jewels
Look for these mods on rare jewels:
- Cold Damage
- Spell Damage
- Area Damage
- Critical Multiplier
- Maximum Life
Abyss Jewel
Mods
- X% chance to gain Onslaught for 4 seconds on kill.
Notes
- I highly recommend you to get an abyssal jewel like this.
Watcher's Eye
Mods
- Adds cold damage while affected by hatred.
Notes
- This kind of Watcher's Eye is not cheap, but it can optimize your damage.
- It is not mandatory.
Mandatory Jewel
Thread of Hope
- One Thread of Hope is really useful for this build. It allows us to pick great nodes on our passive tree.
Skill Tree

Bandits
Leveling
This build has an easy leveling process, and it is beginner-friendly.
Tips
- Use Freezing Pulse until level 28.
- Then you can already start using Winter Orb.
Leveling setup of links:
- The first skill you will get is Fireball. You can use it until you reach the first city.
- There, talk to Tarkleigh and pick Freezing Pulse as your reward.
- Keep Freezing Pulse with the Arcane Surge support gem.
- Reaching level 8, you can also support your Freezing Pulse with Efficacy and Added Cold Damage.
- Now replace Arcane Surge with Lesser Multiple Projectiles.
- Reaching level 10, you can activate Clarity for more mana regeneration.
- Reaching level 16, you can activate Herald of Ice for more damage.
- Reaching level 18, you can replace Efficacy with Controlled Destruction and Added Cold Damage with Faster Casting.
- When you reach level 28, it's time to use Winter Orb as your main skill. So, replace Freezing Pulse with Winter Orb and Faster Casting with Infused Channelling.
- When you reach level 31, you can replace Controlled Destruction with Inspiration.
- Reaching level 38, you can replace Lesser Multiple Projectiles with Greater Multiple Projectiles.
- As soon as you have a 5 or 6L body armour, you can use the complete setup.
Around level 60, you can replace Clarity with Hatred when you reach sovereignty on your passive tree.
