NBA 2K18’s release is getting closer and closer, people who prepay will get the game on September 15. In the pre-order information about NBA 2K18, there is a line item for "weekly MyTEAM packs" in the Legend Edition and Legend Edition Gold. MmoGah shares some more details about these packs with fans.

This is a complimentary MyTEAM pack. You will receive once a week when you log into the mode of MyTEAM. You are going to receive one pack at a time. What should be noted is that the packs will not accrue over time. This means if you didn’t log in last week, then in this week, you are going to receive only one MyTEAM pack.

However, missing a log in and a pack one week will not affect the number of packs you still have available. You are going to receive your one free pack every week continually until you've redeemed the total your pre-order qualifies you for. 

In summary, you get one free MyTEAM pack per week when you log into MyTEAM, skipping a week won't net you two packs when you log in next; you'll only get one. You'll keep getting a free weekly MyTEAM pack until you've received all the ones your pre-order entitles you to.
