Carbs must be present for energy, not only energy that you might workout, in addition energy for protein staying absorbed properly, so on the other side hand if you eat too much protein instead of too many carbs, you simply wont have sufficient energy to show that protein into muscle, and physical exercise too many fats, guess what happens happens (you get system!).
