I don't think it's as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Hopefully when more adventure zones and raids are released people will be able to get their difficulty fix. Though I do think the nerf was a little bit too much, it's refreshing to not have to use the same five skills that I had found to be the only way to efficiently get through quest areas in VR. If it helps to populate the content, I don't really care if I can slice through vet mobs this easy.
If anything though I hope there is maybe a way to make special attacks hit a little harder, that way I still have to avoid Elder Scrolls Online Gold the red. Enemy arrow sprays do almost nothing now, but honestly it was pretty ridiculous to get decimated by those puny archers before this update. I'm just hoping a middle ground is found.
Undecided cause I just finished VR++ zone a few hours before the nerf, aside from one quest I didn't know existed till I found it and a few other basically completed but only have to hand it in. So now I don't really care too much about it as I'm going to move on to PvP and craglorn.
And going by some of the comments here, I'm glad that I finished it pre-nerf and got the most out of it.
Also something that ZOS could have done to make it easier was to take away the random lag spikes and delays, and in my humble opinion that would have been a huge 'nerf' for me as I would have been able to see enemies and their cues instead of seeing their cue with no chance to interrupt and see what is attacking me, I mean half the time I'm fighting I usually get hit by throwing knives, arrow sprays, fires, etc and 9/10 times I still manage to win with half of my hp intact against groups of threes...That or I'm used to the lag...
The Veteran system seems like it was added last minute to give people "more" content. I disliked leveling in the Veteran zones more than anything else in the game. It was not hard, just boring Cheap ESO Gold and repetitive. So I say it is better that there is less time going to be spent doing boring and repetitive tasks. I had a vr12 before difficulty nerf, had to say that in case of flames.
I was finally able to beat a story line zone boss, the last one in that zone. I did it by myself! Vet 9 vs Vet 8 story line zone boss. I've been grouping up with at least one other person to defeat the story bosses at the end of the zones because they can't be stunned or knocked back. This change they did helped ZeniMax keep their promise and their original advertising that stated that we can solo play if we wanted to. This change helped them avoid a false advertisement law suit.
