The second side of CPA marketing is the advertiser - the person with the product who has created an offer for the affiliates to market. This side is more difficult to implement but it is also more profitable in the long run if you are successful. This side will typically require more up front capital and more time to get your business going. If you choose this business it is extremely important that you test your offer before you offer it to the CPA networks.
CPA networks are organizations that serve as a middle man between the individual with the product and the affiliates. Many of these networks have excellent training programs and marketing tools but some can be very choosy when it comes to approving affiliates and often even require phone interviews.
If you are interested in this very profitable market and you are a beginner, I recommend trying the affiliate side first by joining a CPA network and using the minor, less expensive traffic drivers in the beginning. You can always start using the more expensive, competitive advertising techniques, and maybe even begin promoting products, later when you have accumulated some capital and market knowledge.
