Meh. The main & guild storylines were mildly interesting, but the zone quests are flat and mostly variations of one another. If I want to read good stories, I can find better writing in a book. I play games for action and fun. A nice story as a background is a plus, but not the main focal point.
Good stories. Copy paste x 100. Makes it no less good stories, but you don't wanna re-play the same stuff over and over. There is a limit how much you can take before it gets too obvious, and that line is crossed in ESO after... no idea. Stopped caring about quests once you figure out its just the same run-fetch, run-kill whatever, with a fancy dress on it to make it "less obvious".
Yes, we all get it. We have read your thread-hijacking posts about solo-only instances in every. Single. Thread. We are all aware Elder Scrolls Online Gold that you're not a fan of the mechanic. You can feel free to send the developers feedback in-game, but I'd bear in mind that most people don't mind (and *gasp* even enjoy) the solo content.
On the subject of this thread: you have a way to do exactly what you've described. It is right there for you to take advantage of. Your personal insistence on not doing solo instances is the only thing keeping you from accessing that feature, and that's your problem.
Two things killed it: the serious imbalance in VR levels (that ESO still to this day denies it's existence), and the serious imbalance of the classes (most setups cannot efficiently survive VR outside of running with a destro staff or a resto staff).
those two items WILL NOT disappear just because you take your time, or take your time faster then everyone else, or rush through ignoring it. you're just putting off the point in which you will have to face it.
I do agree with the OP though...if you take your time and read the stories, they are good. IMO it's nothing different then reading a book you enjoyed Cheap ESO Gold again...or watching your favorite movie. It was really fun. I almost wish the game would have ended at 50...with some group stuff after that. I at least wouldn't feel like i don't want to do 2/3 of a game I loved for the first 1/3....
EDIT: to your post title OP...while I agree with you that reading the story is great, your title is disingenuous. It indicates that if you actually READ the stories, enjoy the scenery, that somehow the VR content, the serious imbalance, the bugs and glitches, these things will NOT make you quit or stop playing in frustration. Quite the contrary...That exact thing happened to me...and many others.
