Let's get into his stats :

79 Pace : Good enough for me, doesn't feel like more, doesn't feel like less. Some people want their fullbacks to have to have 88 pace, but I think that 79 just does the job well, he doesn't get completely outpaced by the sweaty strikers and he can bully them of the ball to get it back.

51 Shooting : Should be 0. Honestly my keeper has better shooting than him. He has yet to score a goal in something like 60 games. Not that important you will tell me, he's a left back. Well he did have a substantial amount of clear chances and he missed each and every one of them. Granted it's not a key stat, but when you have a player in your team that just cannot score, you might pay it every once in a while. As I said, not a key stat, but be careful, just don't shoot with him.

71 Passing : He does get a bit involved and has 10 assists in 60 games, which is not so good, but not pathetic either. However his passing could use some improving, he will lose the ball from time to time because he just sent a dead ball, which can be annoying. But overall it is okay.

77 Dribbling : That stat really stands out. He can do some nice work on the wing getting past the defense, of course he won't score, but you might make someone else score from that, which is nice.

79 Defending : Feels like more, his defending is really really solid, he comes up with some strong tackles and when you press the tackle button when running side by side with a fast striker, he won't pull his shirt like a retard and get sent off or give a penalty, he will get in front of him and win you the ball. With 79 defending you could have expected otherwise, but that stat is not doing justice to his in-game abilities. Also his positioning is really reassuring, although he has H/M workrates, he stays back quite a bit and the opponent never gets an open path to the goal on his side (which contrasts with Dani Alves who is my RB).

78 Physical : I was afraid he would be a bit weak and lose headers, being quite small and all that, but I was wrong, he bullies players off the ball easily and he doesn't get outjumped on headers, I don't think I have conceded headers when he was involved in the battle for the ball (that 88 jumping, and the weakness of the headers in this game help).

All in all guys if you are looking for a solid LB mainly for defending, he is your man. But he is not an influent player who will just bomb up on counter attacks, do great passes and occasionnally score some nice goals. If you're looking for that, you need a player like Alaba (who plays amazingly well), but you will get hit on the counter attacks from time to time. With this guy you don't need to worry about that.

I gave him a 8 because he is not the perfect all rounded player, but if defending is your only concern, you can consider him a 10.
