PES guy since 2014 (and in the golden age of PES 5/6) reporting in. I always check out both games and this time I'm quite impressed with FIFA. My main complaint in both games has always been the arcade gameplay, too much pace and overall game speed, and laser guided buying fut 16 coins. I always play on full manual, which helps to counter those issues. Anyway, PES always catered more to a simulation-seeking audience, but slowly (and particularly as a PC player) I'm getting tired of Konami's shit and incompetence.

Furthermore judging by videos (again, PC player, no demo I could try etc.) PES 2016 seems to up the speed and looks more arcade'y than the previous 2 installments. FIFA's demo (which I could actually try) feels great though - far better than fifa 15 in my opinion. And I can't narrow it down to an outstanding feature or two - it's more about the sum of its parts. Great animations, which always felt a bit too fast to me before, but now really work with a more realistic speed. Nice tacklings and most importantly finally intense midfield play and the need to do some build up play.

Maybe PES 2016 does this as well. PES 2015, while being way better than FIFA 15 in that regard and trying to offer a realistic experience, didn't really satisfy though. If FIFA keeps up the gameplay from this demo I may switch back. Konami's lack of official modding support and general ca. 2005-mindset sure doesn't help.

For a title that could use any modding help it can get in order to compensate for licenses, I think it's weak that users have to hunt down ad- and malware infested filehosting sites in order to download a dozen 100MB rar files...until the next official patch is released - what is this? 2002? We should have Steam workshop support or another form of official platform for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team coins. If FIFA finally nails the gameplay, I'll gladly skip this trouble.
