Its been a while since we had a proper different game mode in FIFA 16, we've had a few changes to online formats but nothing substantial since probably the introduction of Ultimate Team a good few years back. I think something new is needed to keep FIFA fresh.
I dunno if you's have seen it but madden are introducing a new game mode called draft champions, you can read all about it here but the basic idea is that you can put together your team and control which areas have high rated players but you've still got a risk involved and not selecting a certain player can backfire. Obviously this hasn't been tried out before and is different so it could be a disaster but from initial reading and first previews it looks very good to me. Its something i'd of liked to have seen introduced, any new modes you'd of liked and can think of?
We used to love playing this think it was 07 or 08 it was last in I may be wrong, but it was just a fun non serious league if you do not know of it, you could earn cheapshots after games like opponent starting with 10 men, removing their best player, causeing 50% fatigue before game even started or even a 3 goal boost, upto 16 teams if i remember rightly, you could create your own fixtures or just go full random and never know who was playing next.
Seriously though, I wished that they added back Custom Head to Head. You could play with a custom team (one from creation centre [that thing from Fifa 12 which was massive on their website] that you or somone else has made) and play online against a random player in a match that means nothing to any tournaments, divisions, so the play isn't as competitive, you are able to just play with a custom team.
Like for example, you could create say, Apoel, or one of the other teams EA doesn't know exists, and beat someone online playing as Barcelona, which I used to do on the older Fifa 16 coins xbox 360. It was so much fun. Don't know why they got rid of it, or even the creation centre.
No way EA would allow a game mode that encourages people to actually get together to play! They'd only sell one copy of the game that way. Better to make us all play online and buy our own copies. More $$$ to be made that way. But yeah the cheapshots were ace. My mates and I used to play that mode all the time and save up all our cheap shots and use them all at once! Crazy games, starting with a man down but 2 goals up and have infinite sprinting, whilst my opponent was 2 goals down, a man up but already had 5 players on yellows. Crazy stuff.
