Seeing the poll from yesterday this issue should be discussed further so that we may come to an conclusion. Based on the poll 65% of r/fifa believes "intrusive scripting" does exist..

Here are some thoughts on the matter:

scripting exists, obviously. However the question is if its deliberately giving an opponent an advantage under "some special circumstances".
First lets define scripting.

Games like fifa are heavily scripted, everything from player animations, the way a player touches the ball in certain situations, if a pass hits or misses, are all the result of a script.

For example when a cross misses, almost misses or hits, the game has come to an decision based on various factors, such as the players crossing stat among other cheap Fifa 16 coins. Simply put, the game sometimes decides that a cross will miss, a clear example of scripting, but of course in this case a needed one. Not to mention that the game heavily relies on "assisted" control functions, resulting in some near completely automated sequence of events.
In regards to the scripting that deliberately gives one player an advantage, the majority believes it does exist so lets take a deeper look.

First off, for EA to make an effort into doing something it would have to be some profit incentive. I think we can confidently make that assumption based on EA's track record.

So, is there an profit incentive?

Shortly put yes, there is. For example a script that gives a player who loses a lot a little advantage/boost would statistically speaking make more players enjoy the game, stick around and buy packs. From a developer point of view, you would rather have a game in which the majority were able to enjoy it and compete, especially in a "p2w" game, rather than a game were a lot of people would be turned off by the skill.

Also,in some circumstances players of difference rank would match up, so as a developer you are left with the dilemma, do you let the best player crush the inferior one? Or do you slightly boost the weaker player to arguably make the experience more enjoyable?

Knowing EA its hard to not think they would do so, especially considering the fact that the game lives on people spending real money to buy packs. It would be easy to assume players who get crushed and rarely win would be discouraged and less likely to spend money.

And what about when a full TOTS team matches up with a inferior one, arguably the TOTS team is so much better there is hardly any competition without some scripting interference, evening out the difference a little, giving the poor fella some a chance, the feeling of "I just need one or two better players"

And you could also make the argument from a gaming perspective that some form of variation in player performance would add realism and more variation.

But, these are all speculations of course. However its interesting to note that EA is deliberately dodging this subject. Just a few days ago for example in this very place were 65% of us believe in some form of intrusive scripting EA was so kind to take 10 of our top questions and answer them. None of which ended up being about scripting.

And isnt that a bit weird, wouldn't you think that if it really didn't exist EA would go out of its way to demonstrate that the game is fair without scripting? Why not settle the debate? Arguably when such a huge amount of players believe EA is deliberately fucking with the game, you would think they would be all up on this if it actually wasn't the case?

But, but, but, this is just hearsay and speculation? Yes, sure. But, Its a compelling argument nevertheless. And what if I told you there was proof? hard legit proof, giving solid credence to all the speculation?
