No, the British Police Forces were not launched in a NASA Space Conquest Program to meet Extra-terrestrials.

Actually, it seems that aliens came on Earth to meet the people from West Midlands.

The Police Department from West Midlands, England, disclosed that, only in the last 3 years, they had 23 calls from citizens reporting paranormal encounters in the area.

It’s not a joke. The incidents were made public on their official site.

Starting with 2006 the Freedom of Information (FOI) act has been applied to the public services, and therefore, West Midlands Police decided to open up and be transparent to the community by publishing all the requests submitted by the citizens under the FOI.

One unusual request stands out:

“Please, under the freedom of information act can you tell me how many alien abductions have been reported in the West Midlands over the past three years, breaking it down for each area? Can you also give details on each case and how the report was resolved?”

The answer that Police provided in detail fueled intense discussions and controversy. They listed a total of 23 reports: 3 alien abductions or attempts of abductions, 2 alien attacks, 4 people claiming they talked to or heard aliens speaking, and 14 alien sightings. From these, in 3 cases advice has been given, in 7 cases Police responded to the calls and the verifications matched the description, in 1 case a written report was submitted and 1 case was resolved.

Also, the report reveals that in 2011 there were three aliens related calls, in 2012 there were 8, in 2013 there were about 7, and in 2014 only 5.

At the end of the response, though, West Midlands Police added: “Every effort is made to ensure that the figures presented are accurate and complete. However, it is important to note that these data have been extracted from a number of data sources used by forces for police purposes. The detail collected to respond specifically to your request is subject to the inaccuracies inherent in any large scale recording system. As a consequence, care should be taken to ensure data collection processes and their inevitable limitations are taken into account when interpreting those data.”
