The trophy was designed through exclusive cooperation of FIFA and Coca-Cola. The Coca Soda Company and FIFA have been participating since 1974. The first ever Trip took place in 2006. Coming back then it frequented 31 places in 28 nations over a three-month period. It was a millionaire, and since then it became a custom that occurs before each tournament.

The second tour survived from Sept 2009 to May 2010; within that period the trophy frequented 84 nations and 130 places all over the world.

The 2014 Cup Award Trip is the third one. The plan is to check out 90 nations in 6 major regions creating around 100.000 kilometers (which is more than three periods the area of Earth). The Award Trip by Coca Soda took off from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sept 12 2013.
