Hello everyone! My name is Michael. I'm new to these forums and this website.
Well, a little bit about myself...
I'm 23 from Arizona. I'm in the Air Force, I work on F-16's and I'm stationed here. I've been playing video games since I was a little wee one playing Doom on my parents PC. I started playing Counter-Strike after that when it was downloadable on fileplanet.com. After that it was all the video games I could get my hands on. I'm currently playing the Battlefield 3 beta and lovin it! I love to play music. I played drums for a long time in a few different bands. Mostly playing any type of music with screaming.
The reason I came across this website is I'm going to be starting school again soon on the Air Force's dime and I was researching some video game design careers and schooling. I am completely ignorant in the video game design field, I know nothing of it and I want to learn everything I can before starting school for it. That way I know which direction I need to take. Anyone got any good advice on getting started, possibly good schools, maybe which video game jobs suck and ones that rule?
Thanks,
Michael.
