I know this has probably been brought up before, but I think this is a great place to ask:  if there are no entry level positions available in this industry, what is the best way to go about getting a job?  I know a lot of people who work in the industry, but none of them can help me get hired.  I look for entry level positions and apply to at least 2 every day, but recieve no response.  I am an experienced 2D game artist and I work in graphic design.  I want to get into doing 2d concept art or in-game assets for pixel or other lower res games.  I have applied for many positions, but I am not having any luck.  I changed my resume' many times and now it is looking great, but it is still not helping.  I have applied for everything I am qualified for, from receptionist positions to QA to art (nothing too out of my reach), and still no responses.  Am I doing something wrong, or is it the industry itself?  What is the best way to go about applying and getting actual responses?
