Crytek's Nathan Camarillo, the executive producer of Crysis 2, lamented about what he called the "worst day in the company's history," - the day it heard that Crysis 2 had been leaked to file-sharing sites around the Internet. Speaking last night at the Guardian's Gamesblog Live event (covered by [URL=http://www.theaveragegamer.com/2011/02/20/crysis-2-camarillo-speaks-about-that-leak/]AverageGamer[/URL]), Camarillo described the event as a traumatic experience for the development team and expressed concerns about the financial impact a leak such as this could have in the long run.
Besides the leaked build being a sloppy, buggy mess that Crytek didn’t want to the public to experience for obvious reasons (because the leak was an old build from January, Camarillo was upset that a storyline the company tried so hard to keep a secret was partially revealed.
