Remedy, makers of the Max Payne series and Alan Wake, have lost one of its founding fathers. Co-founder Petri Järvilehto has left the company to join Rovio Mobile as the senior vice president for console development. His first job will be to oversee the development of Angry Birds on various console platforms. Järvilehto remains on Remedy's board of directors.

This seems to be the natural progression of the game's continued development. It is already available on Mac, PC, PlayStation Network as a PlayStation Mini game, and Apple's iOS platforms.

"Angry Birds is one of the fastest growing gaming franchises in the world right now," said Järvilehto. "I think we're only in the beginning, and with consoles we have the opportunity to create a new kind of gaming experience."
