Game developer Novel says that, after it ships its first commercial game, it will move on to business simulations. Currently the company is working on an online strategy game called [URL=http://empireandstate.com/]Empire & State[/URL], which focuses on politics, business, and crime.
After that game is complete, the company will put more of a focus on an enterprise simulation that it is building with the University of Washington's Center for Leadership & Strategic Thinking for a specific business customer.
"We're starting with a consumer game because we want to stay in close touch with the leading consumer game practices," Brayden Olson, the 23-year-old chief executive of the firm.
