The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) announced that EA veteran Bing Gordon will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Dice Summit next month in Las Vegas. Gordon spent 25 years at Electronic Arts before moving to Kleiner Perkins, where he lead investment efforts in Neil Young's ngmoco, and Zynga. Previous winners of the lifetime achievement award include Nintendo's Minoru Arakawa and Howard Lincoln, ESA founder Doug Lowenstein, and Sony's Ken Kutaragi.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented by Don Mattrick, President of Interactive Entertainment Business, Microsoft, at the 14th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. The awards are part of the 2011 D.I.C.E. Summit on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, Jay Mohr will be returning for his sixth year as host.
