Republican FCC commissioners hate it, Democratic Commissioners have a lot of reservations about it, and pro-net neutrality groups think parts of it are a sell-out to big corporations. And while service providers may like much of what's in the new rules, they can't be pleased that the FCC is trying to establish oversight over the Internet.
Let's start with the Republican FCC Commissioners: Robert McDowell accused the FCC of becoming a "vigilante" and said that the only reason for a push of new rules was to help President Obama fulfill "a misguided campaign promise."
