According to an article published on the [URL=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=280562]CVG website[/URL], Rockstar has declined the opportunity to put forward [I]Red Dead Redemption[/I] for consideration at the 2011 BAFTA Video Game Awards.

A BAFTA spokesperson confirmed that [I]Red Dead Redemption[/I] was "eligible" for various award categories, but that Rockstar had "decided not to put the game forward for consideration". This may come as a surprise to many as the game recently took away Best Game of the Year at the VGAs.

The BAFTA Video Game Awards will take place next year on March 16th, at the London Hilton.
