UK-based MotoGP 2009 - 2010 developer Monumental Games suffered a serious setback in November when an unannounced title for a major publisher "didn't work out," forcing the company to tighten its belt through staff cuts and other changes. Recently COO Paul Mayze had a conversation with Develop that brought to light some major troubles with a subsidiary that he described as "technically insolvent."
To move beyond these current travails, Mayze says that Monumental Games Ltd will enter into administration (the UK equivalent of bankruptcy), while Monumental Games Group Ltd will continue to retain its staff of 30 at its Nottingham location.
