Students at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND recently got to interact with three Xbox engineers from Microsoft as part of the company's More outreach program. Students watched a live video chat with the three engineers (and recent graduates) who talked about their work at Microsoft.
The More program is an outreach program that is geared towards individuals that are women and who have an interest in getting into the video game field. While the program is open to men, Microsoft wants to see more women getting involved.
"What its goal is, it`s aimed toward women in technology. Microsoft`s initiative is to recruit , mentor and, more or less, act as an outreach toward retaining women in technology," said Rod Scheett, assistant professor of computer info systems at the college.
