You know, Im not sure if a tread for RVB was ever made before, a search for it didn't show any, so I can't be certain, but since I can't find one, I'll go ahead and make one.
I recently got the DVD for the last season to come out, Revelations.
A fine ending to the series, but it only left me wanting more of RVB.
Rvb was probably the thing that kept me from sliding into depression a few years back when things were going really rough for me. It's kept me from getting into depression ever since I found it, as no matter how bad things got, I could always throw on an RVB video and laugh again. And recently, there's been some things that had me nearly on the verge of a breakdown. But thanks to rvb, I always manage to keep things together.
For those of you not familiar with it, and, honestly, shame on you, Red vs blue is an animated work done using a Video game Engine, a process known as Machinima. Specificly, it uses the Halo game engines, from halo 1 to halo reach.
It started out as a side project for Creator Bernie Burns and some of his friends, and grew into a very successful series, now wrapping up it's eighth season.
Over time it's gotten more developed, has had it's plot grow and get more complex, and has even recently added the animation Wonderkid Monty Oum to it's team, allowing the recent season to include amazing fight scenes using custom animation to do things that normally would not be possible in the Halo game engines the series uses for the bulk of it's work.
But at it's core, RVB is all about it's writing and humor, which has, in my opinion, always been top notch.
I think it has to do with the fact that, using Halo to do this series, meant the writhing HAD to be good, cause there was little else to give the charecters personality and make them interesting. After all, they all look the same save for color or minor variations in armor.
For anyone whose not seen it, go to the webpage and start from the beginning. It's worth it.
So, any othe RVB fans hanging around?
