The non-profit [URL=http://www.webwisekids.org]Web Wise Kids[/URL], which tries to keep kids safe online, has received support from a pair of videogame industry organizations.
The enterprise has received a grant from the Entertainment Software Association’s [URL=http://www.theesa.com/foundation/index.asp]ESA Foundation[/URL] (ESAF) that will assist it in reaching middle school students with the “[URL=http://www.webwisekids.org/our_software.asp?page=itsyourcall]It’s Your Call[/URL]” cell-phone safety game. The title “The game offers teens guidance about responsible cell phone behaviors and how to use these devices to enhance their personal safety.”
According to the ESAF, their funding will also back translation of the “[URL=http://www.webwisekids.org/our_software.asp?page=www]Wired With Wisdom[/URL]” program into Spanish, in order to help Latino parents safeguard their offspring online.
