I found this very interesting "lecture" by Daniel Floyd (with a writing contribution from Gamasutra's Leigh Alexander) discussing why there are not more girl gamers. He delves into the objectification of women in games, how games are marketed towards males, and even the growing number of women playing casual games. From my perspective it is a pretty balanced editorial, and the unique visuals make it entertaining as well. Enjoy!
