I'm big on beta's (as you can probably tell) and although I can't quite imagine an online MMO version of [I]Age of Empires[/I], I'm still pretty excited about it. If there's one thing I've learned about strategy games it's that you don't really need to be a hardcore strategist to play them and have fun. [I]Age of Empires [/I]was probably one of the first strategy-type games I played (alongside SC) and an MMO world based on the AoE universe sounds awesome.

Beta signups are now being accepted for North American and European gamers so head on over to their website and sign up. You'll need a Games for Windows LIVE account or an Xbox Live gamertag to participate as well as a PC that will run it (minimum specs are detailed on the official website).
