Believe it or not, former Friends star Mathew Perry ended up as a voice actor in Fallout: New Vegas because of Ellen DeGeneres. On April 24, 2009 Perry appeared on the show promoting his craptastic movie 17 Again, but the conversation veered towards Fallout 3. And it probably didn't hurt that Perry presented Ellen with an autographed copy of the game and an Xbox 360. Why Perry autographed it, I don't know, but the little stunt caught the collective eye of game maker Bethesda and developers from Obsidian Entertainment, who contacted Perry and offered him some work. The rest, as they say, is history.
