I'm playing Trinity Universe for another publication, and in between trying to figure out what this game is trying to be, I have read some interesting public comments from reviewers about the game. While haven't actually read any reviews (reading reviews can unduly influence your opinions so I try to avoid it), I do find other comments interesting. First and foremost, some reviewers are calling this game "fan service" - like such a term is a bad thing. Saying Trinity Universe is "fan service" is like saying Gears of War or Halo is fan service. What I mean is, game developers make games for fans of series and NIS is no exception. In fact i'd argue that all of the company's games last year were fan service. As were Epic’s, Capcom’s, Microsoft’s, Sony’s, Nintendo’s, etc. Read More
