While this isn't directly game related, it is interesting. The small town of Perrysburg, Ohio, near Toledo, is hosting an anime convention entitled GarasuNoShiCon 2010 on July 17-18. The event (the name translates to Glass City Convention) is being held at Owens Community College from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and has free admission.
The event will feature anime screenings, CosPlay, panels and special guests, as well as a videogame area for Rock Band, handheld games and Pokemon. There will also be tabletop gaming for Forgotten Realms, Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.
