G4TV.com reports (based on another report on Joystiq) that NBC may be developing a television series that focuses on game culture. According to the story the network is developing a pilot on game culture and on the people that makes games. The show is apparently headed by TJ 'Ocman' Allard, an ex-Ubisoft designer, with co-host is Audrey Cleo from Qore (Sony’s videogame show for PlayStation Network). The team is currently editing footage shot at E3 for the pilot, according to the report.
Of course that doesn't mean the show will ever make it to air. Developing a pilot and having a full-fledged series in the world of television are worlds apart, and while Call of Duty, World of Warcraft and the Wii are recognizable brands even among non-gamers it is debatable that there is a core audience to watch such a show.
Still, if the Marriage Ref and Last Comic Standing can find an audience any show can. Read More
