Teaser trailers can be extremely powerful marketing tools if they're done right. I know I love watching new video game trailers, especially when they're done exceptionally well - well enough to pique my interest in a game I'd otherwise probably dismiss.
The live action trailer for [URL=http://www.gametrailers.com/video/full-length-exclusive-halo-3-odst/55529][I]Halo: ODST [/I][/URL]was such a trailer. While I wasn't terribly hyped for ODST, after watching the trailer, I decided to see what the game was all about. As it turns out the game didn't live up to the hype for me but the work that went into creating one of the coolest trailers I've seen for a game didn't go unnoticed. Thousands of gamers raved about the trailer and thus the work of the PR team behind it was fully realised.
