Justin May, the man who allegedly tried to make off with code for the Atomic Games title Breach at PAX East in late March, has finally faced a judge.
May appeared in Boston Municipal Court today (thanks Kotaku) to face allegations that he swiped code from the currently-in-development game off an Atomic Games Xbox 360 Test Kit. The suspect’s brazen attempt drew the attention of Atomic employees and he was apprehended by Atomic reps and PAX East security following a short chase across the show floor. May later claimed he was merely trying to get online in the convention center.
In a press release issued today, Atomic stated that the Suffolk County District Attorney opted to file charges against May, to which the defendant pled not guilty.
Atomic President Peter Tamte said that, “Breach, and our Hydrogen game engine, are the result of millions of dollars of investment and years of hard work.”
