Congratulations to the seniors at the Cedar Crest Retirement Community's Wii Bowling league (New Jersey). Its team, "The Crushers," took home the championship this year in the National Senior League's Wii Bowling tournament. The league dedicated to Wii Bowling - part of Wii Sports - was formed in 2007. This year's team features seniors Sydelle Hirsch, Bill Sperry, Lynn Wolf, Lily Berenbroick, Tony di Filippo, Rita Robinson, Hal Wehner and Pete Galioto. The league saw 800 players from 24 different states compete for the top prize.
Some words of wisdom from the winners:
"We had a great time bowling against some of the best teams in the country. It really pumped up our blood, especially as we progressed up the ladder," said Tony di Filippo, a member of the Cedar Crest Crushers.

"We've been blown away by the caliber of talent in this year's tournament," said Dennis Berkholtz, founder of the Atlanta-based National Senior League. "We've had a number of players who bowled perfect games. We've seen some amazing 'splits' being picked up. And we even hosted an all-star competition among some of our finest players."
Congrats to The Crushers on a well earned victory. Go old people!
