A proposed ordinance from the City Council of Rochester Hills, Michigan would require the operators of gaming centers to submit a policy on the enforcement of videogame ratings when they apply for a license.

The local owner of a gaming center called the [URL=http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rochester-Hills-MI/Game-Over-Lounge/190617687414]Game Over Lounge[/URL] is not too happy about the proposed measures. Constantine Carstea already has parents fill out a form telling him what rated games their kids are allowed to play under his supervision. His business also features a webcam that allows parents to check on the children remotely. Carstea said about the ordinance, “They basically want to take the rights from parents.”
