More information on the entities behind Evony—which recently [URL=http://gamepolitics.com/2010/03/31/evony-drops-libel-suit-against-blogger]dropped a libel suit[/URL] against blogger Bruce Everiss—has emerged, thanks to a rare interview with two of its executives.
Ars Technica, which published a [URL=http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/03/evony-investigating-the-game-everyone-loves-to-hate.ars]long expose on Evony last week[/URL], actually received a call back from Evony personnel following the publication of its article, and managed to [URL=http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/04/evony-speaks-to-ars.ars/]wrangle some additional information[/URL] on the company and the discarded lawsuit.
Benjamin Gifford, who took the stand in Everiss’ trial, where he was billed as Evony, LLC’s Vice Development Director, reiterated a previous claim that Evony dropped the lawsuit against Everiss as a result of complaints from players of the game.
