I'm on the lookout for a new MMO to play. I've actually looked at a few and I've already played a few so if anyone can suggest something to consider, I'm all ears. I've already played WoW, EQ, Aion, Guild Wars, DAoC, AC. I didn't really like the look of Star Trek Online so I'm giving that a miss. I've tried Runescape but that's not really my thing either.
I know that Korean developer NCSoft is bringing out a new MMO based on a blend of martial arts and fantasy called 'Blade and Soul' which looks OK but due to a few lacklustre experiences playing Aion, I'm not exactly excited to go there again.
Recently, I discovered Aika but was disappointed to find that it's a single player experience because it looks very good and is made by the creators of Diablo. This instantly got my attention (simply because Diablo is kicka**) but yeah, single player not as much fun.
Other sources have pointed me to Mytheon (thanks John!) and Mortal Online. Both are in beta at the moment so I've missed out on a key for Mortal Online (if anyone has a spare, do let me know) which I was keen to try out. But I managed to get in on the beta for Mytheon and there's nothing cooler than playing with the powers of the Gods! If I get enough time this weeked, I'm sure I'll have some juicy experiences to blog about!
